The Council of Governors has expressed satisfaction with devolution reiterating that grassroots development projects are being implemented in many counties now.
Chairman of Council of Governors, Mr Josephat Nanok, said even areas earlier opposed to devolution were now recording a major success in development.
Speaking during a two-day governors committee meeting on mining, water and forestry forum in Malindi last Thursday, the Turkana Governor said the council was pushing for the revenue bill amendment to ensure quality service delivery in the counties.
Mr Nanok said Counties will now be getting 19 percent share of the roads levy fund from the national government. The Turkana governor said the agreement was reached after counties demanded the roads levy fund be increased from the current 15 percent due to the increased costs of doing rural roads.
