The Bohra Community is poised to establish a University in Kenya to provide Islamic, religious education and secular education to prospective students in Kenya.
This was revealed by the representative of the religious Community when they paid a courtesy call on the Cabinet Secretary for Education Dr Fred Matiang’i in his Jogoo House Office today.
The Community representatives briefed Dr Matiang’i about its move to provide education services to the country including sponsoring University students through financing of their scholarships.
It was led by Mr Shabbir Hebatullah and Mr Mustafa Abdullabhai. Dr Matiang’i, who was flanked by the former Permanent Secretary for Information Dr Bitange Ndemo, thanked them for the work the community was undertaking in the social-economic development of the country.
