The Kenya Leadership and Integrity Forum in collaboration with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and other partners will on Friday, 9th December 2016 host the International Anti-Corruption Day in various parts of the country.
The event will take place in the eight counties. They include Kakamega, Narok, Kwale, Tana River and Garrisa counties. Others are Marsabit, Elgeyo Marakwet and Embu. However, the national commemoration event will be held in Kajiado County. Themed, Fighting Corruption: Our Collective Responsibility, the day is usually preceded by various build up activities and public awareness campaigns through outreach caravans, sensitisation workshops, talks and presentations, among others.
It is a day to take stock of anti-corruption activities and campaigns and raise public awareness on corruption as well up public support against the vice, and promote ethical values in the society.
